Kathleen McCormick is a policy maker, and senior practitioner in genomics, bioinformatics, and nursing informatics.  She has been involved in nursing informatics since 1978 teaching, publishing, and establishing organizational structures around nursing informatics. She is the coauthor of Essentials of Nursing Informatics 1-7th editions with Dr. Virginia Saba. Now in is 8^th Edition the Essentials title is Artificial Intelligence and Knowledge in Nursing Informatics. The book will be available on AMAZON from McGraw-Hill. This book includes new content in the Legal, Cybersecurity, Consumer Engagement and Social Media, and Precision Healthcare aspects of Nursing Informatics, in addition to other new chapters.
